Clean & Remove

We thoroughly clean, remove hardware, and remove door faces and drawer faces.

Protect & Sand

We protect cabinet interiors, countertops, and surrounding areas, then sand with 220 and 110 grit sandpaper.

Prime & Finish

We prime and apply two finish coats of a high-end urethane product for a harder, more durable surface.

Dry & Reinstall

Once completely dry, doors and drawers are returned and hardware is reinstalled or updated if requested.

DETAILED PROCESS

Cabinet refinishing requires careful preparation, product selection, and drying time. The steps below reflect the typical PGP process, but each project should always be confirmed by the approved agreement.

Thorough Cleaning

Cabinet surfaces are cleaned thoroughly before sanding or coating begins.

Hardware Removal

Hardware is removed, along with door faces, drawer faces, and cabinet doors as needed.

Cover & Protect

Cabinet interiors, countertops, floors, and surrounding areas are covered and protected.

Sanding

Cabinet faces, drawer faces, and cabinet doors are sanded with 220 and 110 grit sandpaper.

Prime

Primer is applied to help prepare surfaces for the finish coats.

Two Finish Coats

Two coats of high-end urethane product are applied to create a harder, more durable finish.

Dry Completely

Cabinets are allowed to dry completely before doors, drawers, and hardware are returned.

Reinstall Details

Cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware are reinstalled. New hardware may be installed if requested and included.
