Our Story!

PGP Surface Solutions, LLC is proudly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team, Josh and Darrah Johnson. With over 25 years of experience in various areas of the painting industry, Josh began his career alongside a close friend and fellow firefighter. His passion for the trade has only grown since. Darrah brings over 15 years of business management experience, having served as the office manager for two successful local businesses, making her a vital part of the company’s leadership.

In early 2014, Josh and Darrah launched Praise God Painting in Georgia with a clear vision: to create a modern painting company built on excellence, integrity, and Christ-centered values. Their goal has always been to honor God in every aspect of their work—serving clients with excellence while using the business as a platform to share their faith through its name and mission.

In April 2024, Praise God Painting officially became PGP Surface Solutions! For over 13 years, we worked to build Praise God Painting on integrity, hard work, and giving God the glory in everything we do. That will never change. This new name simply reflects the full scope of what we offer—residential, commercial, and multi-family services, including interior & exterior painting, drywall repairs, wood repairs, and more.

To this day, PGP Surface Solutions strives to fulfill that vision by delivering outstanding customer service, using cutting-edge technology to streamline operations, hiring only skilled and professional painters, using top-quality materials, and maintaining high standards in preparation and application.

Believing that success begins with the right team, Josh and Darrah are committed to building a positive and professional work environment that supports and inspires their growing staff of like-minded individuals.

Outside of running the business, Josh and Darrah lead a full and busy life with their four children: Audrey (24), a 4th grade teacher; Joshua (21), a lineman; Lukas (16), a high school sophomore; and Jase (13), a middle school 7th grader. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, camping, traveling, water sports, snow skiing, and serving at their home church, Solid Rock Church.

PGP Surface Solutions, LLC is fully insured in the state of Georgia with both General Liability and Workers’ Compensation coverage. We proudly provide interior and exterior painting services for residential and commercial properties throughout Metro Atlanta—and we’re happy to travel for larger projects!
